This paper presents the practical design and implementation of an integrated electrical and wireless communications infrastructure platform for an educational smart microgrid and electric machines laboratory at the University of Tehran. The platform integrates wireless XBee end-point sensor nodes with Python-based graphical user interfaces (PyQt5) running on Raspberry Pi microcomputers to monitor, acquire, and analyze real-time electrical machine parameters, active/reactive power flows, and network telemetry states. The hardware-software architecture provides students and researchers with hands-on experimentation in distributed energy resources, remote SCADA supervision, and real-time power network state estimation.
